Bringing an end to terrible home Wi-Fi

This Ubiquiti AmpliFi HD router replaced the networking and wireless capabilities of the clients ISP modem where the Wi-Fi connection was extremely poor.

The AmpiFi HD is Ubiquiti’s entry level hardware aimed at homes and possibly small businesses that only need a reliable internet connection for their devices. It features a 3x3 MIMO radio with transmission speeds of up to 1300Mbps. It’s by far one of the best Wi-Fi routers out there at the moment. The AmpliFi HD also features mesh capabilities that can be supplemented with additional mesh points (sold separately). These connect to power sockets and boost Wi-Fi range significantly. This is really useful if your home is larger or has stone/brick walls.

The Wi-Fi even in a medium-sized house now covers all areas (even the garden) and consistently reaches wired and wireless internet speeds of 60Mbps down and 13Mbps up. This is constrained by the distance between the fibre cabinet and the house. It also manages traffic from 2 x Sky HD boxes, 4 x 1080p cameras, laptops, PC's, iPads and phones where video calling quality was greatly improved.

We can configure and fit (North West of England) the base station like this one for £179 or £379 for the full mesh version with two repeaters if you have a larger house. Get in touch, and we can estimate which version will work best for you.
